Field Notes #34

I promised this one back in Field Notes #13. Twenty notes later, here it is. The gap is part of it. I didn't know what Coding Cocoons meant until I pressed record.

The cocoon looks like magic. A caterpillar goes in, a butterfly comes out, and nobody saw the middle. There's no magic in it. It's a process with steps, and the steps are hidden because they happen in the 167 hours between sessions. The hour you spend with me is the leaf. The cocoon is your week.

Here's the code. Repetition until you're bored, because boredom is the doorway. Then ignorance: I don't know. Then illumination: I can check. Then transformation, of this now, and no other. My Leadership handed me a red line on decision-making. I didn't fix it. I check for it, every time, and the checking is what changed me.

Where are you still waiting for magic?

THIS IS NOT TRAINING. IT'S CALIBRATION.
