Field Notes #24
My Conflict Blind Spots
Alongside this Field Note is the quietest video in the library, and the quietness is the point. In My Choice I went heavy on the ring and on carefulness. This one is shorter. I almost scrapped this program entirely, and I still look at it askance.
BE GENTLE
When you go into the interior spaces where scripts live, you don’t rush, and you don’t force. You get down on a knee and talk to the part that wants to quit. I am not naturally gentle. I am aggressive, and I have an addictive personality — and at this layer I have a responsibility to be gentle anyway. What in you is little, and still living in the past?
Five, and One Hard Comparison
The cover is the polished stone.
Gentleness — THE RED LINE. I learned in trauma therapy that the parts of me that did not get to develop have to be treated gently, and the rock is my touchstone for that. I am not gentle with everything. I am not gentle with ego, and I am not gentle with people who want to monetize this as a product line.
Certainty — handled carefully. Being aware at the conscious level does not protect me at the somatic or the scripted level.
Confidence — handled carefully. Same. I do not want to splash you here any more than in My Room.
Curiosity — A SHRUG. If you have no tolerance for it, that is not my responsibility.
Clarity — A SHRUG. Same.
On the comparison people keep making. I take a GLP-1. I have been sober thirty-one years, and it quiets the noise in a way nothing in My Mastery can. And people have looked at My Mastery and said it could be a psychological version of the same thing — a formation drug for the conflicted scripts underneath every abandoned gym membership. They are not wrong that it would work for a lot of people. They are wrong about the side effects: a percentage would try it as a hack, get traumatized, and have nobody beside them when it happened. The drug helps impulse control. It does not touch the script. That requires agency.
"Repetition, repetition, and gentleness will protect you from colliding with people at this layer of script and agency. The blind spot is gentleness." — Robert (Sherpa) Millar
By the end of this, you will have two instructions and nothing else, and they are the only two I am willing to give you at this layer. Be really, really careful — that was #23. Be really, really gentle — that is this one.
